I have been reading about the controversies that have been going on in the Southern Baptist Convention and some of them seem to center around the Great Commission document. I was wondering if my Reformed Baptist friends can tell me why there is so much controversy over these Axioms? As written they seem to be a tad bit general. Such as making the Gospel central. I am all for that, but an Arminian and a Calvinist would preach a very different message when presenting the Gospel. These axioms as written do not seem to differentiate betweeen Arminian and Calvinst, so why all the controversey? Here are the Axcioms.
